Mego Employment are in search of a skilled Laboratory Technician to play a key role in our client’s laboratory operations.
As a Laboratory Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the advancement of critical technologies.
This position entails performing product tests on a range of alloys in accordance with both internal and customer specifications. As an integral part of our client’s team, you will offer technical expertise derived from test results in this 3-shift rotating role – (0600 – 1400/1400-2200/2200-0600 – Monday to Friday).
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and minimize environmental impact.
- Execute tests, promptly report results, and operate mechanical test equipment.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and meticulously record data.
- Utilize Information Systems for efficient reporting and communication.
- Apply statistical tools and actively contribute to team exercises for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Preferably possess a laboratory technical degree in metallurgy or equivalent.
- Minimum Math’s and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Accumulated 1-2 years of experience in a high-throughput metallurgical laboratory.
- Practical understanding of operating analytical equipment.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and proficiency in PC applications.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, proactiveness, and dedication to meeting deadlines.
